Patricia Ann Smalley, 79, of Colorado Springs, passed away on February 24, 2011 in Colorado Springs. Patricia was born on February 14, 1932 in Merrill, Iowa to the late William Edward and A. Margaret (Classen) Arndt. Patricia graduated Central High School in Sioux City, Iowa in 1949. She married Capt. Robert Smalley in 1957 and together had two daughters. She worked for the American Red Cross in Sioux City. She was the Southern Colorado Regional Manager for Home Interiors from 1972-1988.
In her spare time, Patricia enjoyed gardening, cats, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, the Officer’s Wives Club and an active member at First United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs.
Patricia is survived by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob”; daughters, Kimberly “Kim” A. Lowry of O’Fallon, Illinois and Kelly E. Kitch of Colorado Springs. She is also survived by grandchildren, Daniel R. and Kaitlin A. Lowry and Kayla E., Jordan R., and Spencer D. Kitch and one sister, Gladys Patton. She was preceded in death by her sister, Edna Saunders.
