He was the youngest child born to Roy and Mae Castleberry Blount in Colorado Springs on Oct. 15, 1932.
He is survived by his only sister, Betty Blount Dumler of Denver, nine nieces and six nephews with spouses and children.
Proceeding him in death are his parents and four brothers, Raymond K, William I, Roy Dwayne, and Jack B. Blount.
Dick was an employee of the Public Utilities Company for over 30 years.
He was a longtime and faithful member of the West Pikes Peak Church of Christ.
Interests over his lifetime included being an avid fan of many sports, traveling, photography and new cars.
As a beloved brother, uncle, neighbor and friend, Dick will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered for his gentle soul, humility, faith, generosity and caring.
Funeral service will be at 1pm, Thursday, April 30 in Swan Law Cascade Chapel, 501 N Cascade Ave
