Robert “Rob” Edward Johnston, Jr. passed away on November 24, 2021 at the age of 58, in Colorado Springs, Colorado surrounded by his loved ones. Rob was an amazing “Mr. Fix-It”; there was nothing anyone would break that he couldn’t fix. Rob was also a Paramedic, and shared this role model bond with his son who, followed in his footsteps to become the same. He became a musician at a young age, and rekindled his love for playing when he started a band with his daughter. Music became therapy to him, and was a huge part of his life.
Rob was born in Hyde Park, New York. He moved to Cary, North Carolina where he finished high school then spend the most of his days in Apex, North Carolina before his trek to Colorado for a dream job.
Rob was a faithful husband to the love of his life, Rhonda “Daisy” Elaine Johnston, whom he met. It was love at first sight, and she supported and cared for him every step of the way.
Rob was a proud father to his son Robert Edward Johnston III, daughters Stephanie Leigh Johnston, Marcia Woodcock, Victoria Ott, and Alyssa Hart and her fiancé Kevin Julian, and his grandchildren Olivia Freeman, Heidi Johnston, Freya Johnston, Elias Woodcock, Annie Woodcock, Aria Ott, and Alaina Ott. He is also survived by his brother David Johnston and his wife Kathy Johnston, niece Kallai Hall and her husband Matthew Hall, and nephew Mark Johnston, sister Caroline Johnston, and father Robert Edward Johnston Sr.
