

Robert J. “Bob” McGregor, 76, of Colorado Springs, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Bob was born in Canyon, Texas on June 26, 1948. He graduated from Poudre High School in Fort Collins, Colorado. He earned an Associate degree in Liberal Arts from Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Bob was employed by the Department of Corrections working as a vocational instructor in Canyon City. He later was employed by Pueblo Community College, followed by the University of Colorado in Denver, from where he eventually retired. Bob served as Chieftain of the Scottish Society of the Pikes Peak Region. He also enjoyed playing golf and softball and coached numerous local youth and adult softball teams, which is where he met his wife Karen. They married on November 17, 1979.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Freda (Smith) and Truett McGregor. He is survived by his wife Karen; Siblings: Cynthia (Preston) Miller, Fred (Beth) McGregor; Children Anthony (Moira) McGregor, Tara (Matt) Burnette, Kimberly (Greg) Larsen, Kelley (Shane) Greenfield, Krista (Mark) Majors; Grandchildren: Ryan (Mikayla), Breanne, Troy, Bekah, Jaden, Kenzie, Katie; Three Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910. Interment and an on-premises reception will immediately follow.
