Robert Charles Smith III

Robert was born on August 1, 1972, in Germany to Rose and Robert Smith. He was the eldest of three children. As a child, Robert loved playing with Matchbox cars and Star Wars figures and enjoyed participating in football, baseball, and track and field.

After graduating from Coronado High School in 1991, Robert enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served for four years. Following his honorable discharge, he built a career in the quality field across manufacturing, medical, and aerospace industries.

It was during this time that he met the love of his life, Lisa Parker. They married on August 16, 2003, and together they welcomed two children, Nicole and Robert Smith.

Robert cherished spending time with his family, no matter the activity, and was a devoted father and enthusiastic supporter of his children’s endeavors. A lifelong Star Wars fan, he also enjoyed his weekly Saturday night Dungeons & Dragons game with friends. Despite pretending otherwise, he had a soft spot for animals.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Lisa Smith; his children, Nicole and Robert Smith; his twin sisters, Natasha Smith and Samantha (Micheal) Butterfield; his parents, Rose and Robert Smith; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A celebration of Robert’s life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Reach Church Colorado, 5605 N. Marksheffel Rd., Colorado Springs, CO 80923. A reception will be held directly after the service at the same location. Please wear your favorite sports gear, red, army, or star wars attire in honor of Robert.
