

Ronald Gregory Nesti, age 79, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2024, surrounded by his loving family in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Born on December 28, 1944, in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, Ronald was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Linda (Hushka) Nesti; his children, Carmen Sharp, Anthony Nesti and his wife Windy, and Michael Nesti and his wife Erin; and his cherished grandchildren: Samantha, Nick, Layla, Charles, Devan, Braxton, Alyssa, and Von. He is also remembered fondly by his surviving siblings, Joyce Staub, Rick Nesti and Diane Hodge, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is predeceased by his father, Emil Nesti; his mother, Martha (Jones) Homa; and his brother, Roger Nesti.
Ron is an Air Force veteran and graduate of PennWest California. His early professional life was spent in education, financial services and the Erie-Lackawanna railway, followed by 30+ years in civil service for the Air Force and Space Force as a Human Resources professional and leader. His career afforded him and his family the opportunity to live and work in Perryopolis, Pennsylvania; Washington, DC; northern and central Florida; and Colorado Springs, where he remained until his passing. Outside of his professional life, Ronald had many and varied interests such as woodworking, sailing, fishing, motorcycling, photography, card playing, spending time in nature, cooking, reading, traveling, socializing with friends, and spending time with his beloved family. He was best known for his enthusiasm for all the novelty life has to offer, as well as his generous guidance, loyalty, and support of his family.
His visitation (10:00am MT) and memorial service (2:00pm MT) will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the Swan-Law funeral home in Colorado Springs. The family suggests donations to Wounded Warrior Project in lieu of flowers.
Ron's legacy of love, support, and joy for life will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
