Ruben Bacus Omani, born on August 3, 1965, in the Philippines, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Throughout his illness, Ruben showed extraordinary strength, resilience, and grace, inspiring and touching the hearts of all who knew him.
Ruben was deeply passionate about his family, who were the center of his life. His wife of 29 years, Christina Omani, was not only his partner but his best friend. Their bond was one of love, laughter, and unwavering support. He adored his children—his son Robby and his daughters Bridget and Brooklyn—and took immense pride in each of them.
One of Ruben’s greatest joys was being a grandfather. He loved every moment spent with his cherished grandchildren, Aubrey, Braiden, Jacob, Xantana, Abel, and Eli. Being “Grandpa” brought him endless happiness, and his love for them was evident in everything he did.
Ruben was a man of many passions, but one of his greatest joys was singing karaoke and playing pool. Music was his way of bringing people together—filling rooms with laughter, warmth, and unforgettable memories. His voice and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of hearing him sing.
He is also lovingly remembered by his siblings: Elizabeth (Junior) Dinsay, Gerry (Gloria) Omani, Grace Omani, Savior (Bobbie), Alicia (Grant) McCarthy, Alma (Brian) Kessler, and Noni (Noy) Fisco, along with many nieces and nephews around the world.
Ruben was preceded in death by his parents, Evaristo and Eugenia Omani, who remain forever in his heart.
