Sharon is survived by her daughter, Paula Ann DuPont of Colorado Springs, her brother David A. Bigelow of Wyoming, and her ex-husband Warren E. DuPont of Kansas. She is preceded in death by her mother Lorraine S. Bigelow, and father Gilbert O. Bigelow, both of Colorado Springs.
Sharon was born on February 13, 1947 in Colorado Springs to Lorraine and Gilbert Bigelow. She graduated from Widefield High School, Security, Colorado in 1965 and University of Northern Colorado in Greeley with a major in Elementary Education - History and minor in arts and sciences in 1968. She enjoyed teaching, traveling, theatre, art and being a member of the local YMCA.
A graveside service is scheduled for September 7, 2021 from 11am to 12pm at Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sharon’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation be made in the name of Sharon K. DuPont to Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA.org) or Springs Rescue Mission (springsrescuemission.org)
