Sheila Ann Rainey

Sheila Ann Rainey, 65 of Colorado Springs, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at her sister’s home in Colorado Springs with her sister Mary by her side. She was born on March 31, 1956, in St. Paul, Minnesota to Martin and Marion Murphy. Sheila graduated from Aims Community College with an Associates of Arts.

Survivors include daughter Leslie Hazlewood of McKinney, TX and son Tristan Rainey of Colorado Springs, Brothers Bill Chandler of Arvada, Colorado, Bill Murphy of Warrington, Pennsylvania, Joel Chandler of Spokane, Washington, Dave Murphy of Evans, Colorado, Jon Chandler of Spokane, Washington, her sisters, Linda Grubbs of Ft. Lupton, Colorado, and Mary Murphy of Colorado Springs. She had 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. She also had 19 nieces and nephews, 31 great nieces and nephews, and 2 great great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Milton Rainey, her grandson Lonnie Hazlewood, her father Martin Murphy, her mother Marion Chandler, and the father who raised her Fred Chandler, 2 sisters, Kathleen Murphy, and Karen Wolfinbarger.

A memorial service to celebrate Sheila’s life will be held at 1:30 pm on Sunday, January 9, 2021, at Mountain View Mortuary: 2350 Montebello Square Dr. Colorado Springs CO 80918. Following the memorial there will be a gathering at Antelope Ridge Community Center, 4001 Gray Fox Heights, Colorado Springs, CO 80922
