

Born on December 19, 1946, in Decatur, Texas, Sue was the beloved daughter of James “Dub” and Gloria “Dodie” Elliott. She grew up across Texas, Wyoming, and Colorado, graduating from Wasson High School before attending York College in Nebraska.
Sue’s life was deeply rooted in Colorado Springs, where she married her first husband, Harry, and raised her two sons, Douglas and Jeffrey. She later found love again and married Gary Crumb, blending their families and sharing many happy years together.
A passionate traveler, Sue especially enjoyed road trips in her motorhome and adventures abroad to places like Italy and Mexico. She was a devoted animal lover and cherished the companionship of her many dogs over the years, most recently her beloved Simon.
Sue had been a member of the Colorado Springs Corvette Club and a longtime presence at First United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir, served as music librarian, and welcomed others as an usher.
She is survived by her sons Douglas (Nicola) and Jeffrey (Maddy), grandchildren Ella, Jessie, and Ryan, her brother Jim, and stepdaughters Kathy and Tammy and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband Gary, her stepson Nick, and her parents.
A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 19th, with a reception to follow at the church.
