Theodore Michael Pickles, known as Ted or Teddy to his siblings, passed away on Friday, April 11th at St. Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Ted was born to Kathy and Derrick Pickles in Eugene, Oregon on April 30, 1982. He is survived by his father, Derrick Pickles; his older sisters, Denine McMahon, Susie Bettgar, and Charity Windsor; and his brothers, Scott and Darren Pickles.
Ted graduated from Mountain View High School in Mesa, Arizona. Following graduation, he joined the Army where he served two tours of duty in Iraq and earned the rank of Specialist 4. Ted had a great love for hunting, fishing, shooting, and the outdoors. He had soft spot animals and spent plenty of time at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Ted had a talent for tinkering and working on projects, leading him into the Glass Arts community where he found a passion and made new friends. This eventually led him to open his own glass shop.
Theodore will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He will be laid to rest on Thursday, April 24th at 10 am in the Pikes Peak National Cemetery (10545 Drennan Rd., Colorado Springs, CO). All those who wish to join are welcome.
