Tommy Cheuvront Olson

Tommy Olson died on April second in Colorado Springs, Colorado at Memorial Hospital. Thomas, better known as Tommy, was born in Champaign, Illinois on March 17, 1938 to his parents Ed and Virginia Olson. He graduated from Fairborn High School in Fairborn, Ohio in 1957. He received a bachelor's degree from Ohio State University in 1962. He married Lois Rayl in 1962 and began teaching school in Fairborn, Oh. He also taught school in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Columbus School for Girls, in Columbus, Ohio and in a one room school house in the wilderness of Stehekin, Washington. He later received a masters degree from Xavier University in 1971 and a masters degree from Emory University in 1979 and became a pastor of the Methodist Church. Tommy's last position was as a high school counselor in Merced High School, in Merced California, where he was employed until he retired.

Tommy had several hobbies. He had enjoyed stamp collecting since he was a child. He was a photographer and especially liked taking photos of lighthouses in the United States and other countries. He had a baseball card shows in Los Angeles, California. He has baseball cards, baseballs and bats with signatures of many players of the time.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Arlene, two daughters, Sally Ann Olson Evans of Livingston, California and Amy Olson of Mariposa, California. Tommy is also survived by three grandsons, Tommy Evans, Marshall Evans and Adam Evans, all of Nevada and one great granddaughter, Adelaide of Nevada.

After the death of his wife, Lois, Tommy married a former Fairborn High School classmate, Arlene Fisher. Tommy and Arlene built a home in Monument, Colorado, where they resided at the time of Tommy's death.
