

Victor R. Brown, beloved husband, father, and brother, passed away on April 22, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born in Coquille, Oregon October 20, 1960. He was the youngest of 4 children born to the late Eugene and Dorothy Brown.
Victor joined the US Army right out of High School. He served his Country for 22 years. He served honorably as a Green Beret, assigned to the 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and wore his Green Beret for over 18 years. During his long career, he had many deployments overseas and was also an Instructor at Camp McCall, North Carolina (Green Beret training).
He received the Army Commendation Medal (2nd award), Army Achievement Medal (2nd award), Meritorious Service Medal, Army Superior Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal and he was most proud of his Expert Marksmanship badge (rifle and pistol).
As a civilian he continued to serve his Country, working overseas as a contractor, he served in Kosovo and Afghanistan where he worked alongside US Marines.
He loved being a Soldier and loved shooting, hunting, fly fishing, jumping out of planes, mountain biking, skiing, ice climbing, mountaineering, 4wheeling. Victor also loved cooking, especially pancakes and Finnish Pannakakku.
He leaves behind Videlia (Vee)—his wife of 29 years—his daughter Christina—who he had the joy of walking down the aisle this past October—and his brothers Greg and Gary.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. (1500hours), at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs.
