

Victoria S. Johnson, 92, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025. She was born on March 6, 1933, in Buda, Illinois, to Weldon and Celina Klopfenstein. She had two sisters, Lornelle and Lucille, and one brother, John. Victoria graduated from high school in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
In 1953, she married Charles K. Johnson, and they lived in several locations in Indiana before settling in South Bend. Together, they had three children: Anthony, Terry, and Julie. Victoria worked as a secretary and later retired from Memorial Hospital in South Bend. In retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She also found joy in knitting and crocheting, generously donating her handmade items to local charities.
Victoria was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents, Weldon and Celina Klopfenstein; and her sisters, Lornelle and Lucille.
She is survived by her children: Anthony (Michelle) Johnson of Burlingame, California; Terry (Jodi, deceased) Johnson of Romeoville, Illinois; and Julie (Timothy) Gatton of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Trent, Dana, Ryan, Connor, Peter, Kyle, and Evan; her great-grandchild, Finn; and her brother, John (Cynda) Klopfenstein.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Flowers may be sent to Swan-Law Funeral Directors.
