• Born in Indiana on January 21, 1934 and was an only child • Spent most of her childhood in Decatur, Illinois • During WWII she received a used bicycle from her dad. Can remember as a small kid we went to see Uncle Albert and Aunt Virginia. My mom always told us go out and play. Well I found the strawberry patch and was caught. My mother had a huge fit. Aunt Virginia looked at me and chuckled then told me go with her and she would find me better strawberries. I never got to see them often, but she always had some ready if I was there.
