

Willard, a devoted husband and father, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and love. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Doris Hill; his children, Richard (Melinda) Hill, Linda (Joseph) Henry, and Randi (April) Hill; his grandchildren, Jacquelyn Woods, Corey Hill, Cameron Hill, Kaitlyn Hill and Brenden Henry; and one great-granddaughter, Kaelie Woods.
Born in Ohio, he was the son of the late Willard and Dorthea (Parlow) Hill.
Willard was enlisted in the Army in 1960 and retired in 1983 as E8 Master Sergeant stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado. While serving for his country he received awards for: National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal w/9 bronze service stars; Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device; Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Star Medal; Vietnam Civil Actions Honor Medal; Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm; Army Commendation Medal w/2d Oak Leaf Cluster; Good Conduct Medal w/6th Award; *Army Service Ribbon. *Overseas Service Ribbon (3); Non-Commission Officer Professional Development Ribbon (2); Vietnamese Ethic Device.
Known for his genuine kindness and sense of humor, Willard had a special gift for making people feel comfortable and valued. He was a jack-of-all-trades and a committed family man who often worked multiple jobs to provide for his loved ones. Willard's dedication extended to his hobbies, including fishing, marksmanship, and enjoying a good Western alongside his favorite show, Cops. He was a natural teacher who took pride in instilling practical life skills and a strong work ethic in his children.
He will be remembered for his selfless devotion to family and the many small lessons he taught that left a lasting impact on those who knew him.
