Wilma Irene Nelson was born in Franklin, Iowa to Hugo and Edna Dressler. She was raised and educated in the southern California.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Peterson Field Officer’s Wives Club along with bowling leagues, many Bridge groups, Colorado Ladies Golf Association, Retired Officers Wives Club and was an avid community volunteer.
Wilma was married July 21, 1945 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Capt. Carl A. Nelson. She had lived in many areas of the world before retiring to Colorado Springs with her husband.
Survived by her two daughters and their husbands; Carla and Vic Brown of Palmer Lake, and Linda and Barry Roth of Colorado Springs. Her grandchildren; Julian (Tanya) Rowe of Colorado Springs, Jeni (Russ) Coleman of Fruita, and Janna Roth of Colorado Springs. Great grandchildren; Mckensy and Madison Roth, Chloe and Paul Coleman, and Nicholas, Abby, and Sara Carlson. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, she leaves her memory in the hands of her family.
Those who have preceded her in passing are her beloved husband of 54 years Carl, March 23, 1999, Brothers; Harry and Donald Dressler, Sister; Hazel Jordan, her Grandson; Jamie Roth, and two nephews.

A family memorial service, followed by the interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery is planned.
