Bernice Walton (1936-2025) was a daughter, a mother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother and friend to all. She was described as sweet, classy, and loving. She was born in Beverly, Massachusetts and lived in Manchester-by-the-Sea and surrounding towns until the age of 12 when her parents, George and Mary White, drove cross-country to California, settling in Colton, California where she lived for 77 years. She graduated from Colton H.S. and was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She worked as a civil servant at Norton Air Force Base and the American AFB in Wiesbaden, Germany. She was an avid roller-skater and dance-skater and it was at Harry’s Roller Rink in San Bernardino that she met her husband, William (Bill) Walton. They raised four children: Deborah Callahan of Bonney Lake, WA, Elaine Ryder of Reno, NV, Robert Walton of Moorpark, CA and Michael Walton of Williams, CA (d.) Bernice is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Ryan Callahan, Celise Callahan Mallon, Kari Callahan Hewlett, Catherine Ryder, Arthur Lopez, Michael Lopez, Anthony Lopez, Robby Walton, Brenda Walton, Brandon Walton and Ruth Walton and she is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren. Bernice’s memory will remain in the hearts of her family, friends and those who had the privilege to know her.
A Graveside service will be held at Montecito Memorial Park on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 12:30 PM.
A Reception celebrating her life will be held immediately following at Napoli Italian Restaurant at 24960 Redlands Blvd., Loma Linda,
