Born Cecilia Mestas on November 22, 1924, in New Mexico, she grew up in Meadow Brook and spent most of her adult life in Colton. Known lovingly as Celia, Grandma, or Nana, she carried those titles with great pride and love.
Cecilia was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Pete J. Ortiz. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose life centered around faith, family, and the things she loved most.
She is survived by her four sons: Gil (Sandra), Rob, Pete (Juanita), and Art (Netta); nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren, as well as her sister, Marta Lucich.
Cecilia’s passion in life was serving God, caring for her family, and cheering on her beloved Los Angeles Dodgers.
She will be laid to rest on Wednesday, April 1st at Montecito Memorial Park. 🕊️
Her love, faith, and devotion to her family will be remembered always.
