David Y Villegas

David “ViVi” Y Villegas of Colton, Ca passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday March 7th, 2020. David was born in San Bernardino to parents Tereso and Luz Villegas. He married his wife Margie Torres of Colton and they were wed for 68 years. He is survived by his wife Margie Villegas, Children Julian and Patricia (Villegas) Villanueva, Jay and Joanne (Villegas) Lane, Diane (Villegas) Aguilar, David and Maria Villegas Jr. and sisters Lilian Enriquez, Dolly Martinez, Tita Gaughan and 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. David was preceded in death by son’s Robin David Brown and Randy P. Villegas. David started working for Kaiser Steel in 1948 and retired in 1983 as a continuous caster operator. David enjoyed taking road trips with his family and continued the tradition after his retirement with his wife and on occasion taking the grand kids with them. David was a do it yourself-ER and enjoyed working on projects around the house. David was also a car guy and enjoyed working on his cars, car cruises and going to car swap meets. David and Margie would routinely take Sunday drives in his Mustang to visit family and friends. David was a Cowboy at heart and enjoyed wearing his Cowboy hats, boots, clothes and listening to country music.
