Deborah Jean Earl left us and joined the love of her life (Guy Earl) on November 19, 2024. She was known to most people as Debbie, but to her family she was known as "Sugar" since she would always ask for you to give her sugar (kisses). She spent most of her working years in a law firm and in real estate in Los Angeles. When her husband retired from the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, they moved to Lake Arrowhead (their little piece of paradise), where she spent time as a realtor and volunteered for local charities such as Soroptimist Rim of the World to help struggling women. She spent much of her life helping and empowering other woman due to her own struggles earlier in life. She remained a warrior up until the very end but sadly her body never quite recovered from her battle against cancer that she won in 2020.
Debbie was loving, caring and always liked to have fun. She enjoyed celebrating life, laughing, reading, playing piano, and listening to music. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was loved dearly for helping raise her grandson Tyler and caring for her disabled daughter Amy. She never met a stranger and always made friends wherever she went. She was loved by so many and her absence will forever be felt. Debbie is survived by her daughter Amy Beth McGuire; daughter Billie Jo Taylor (husband Lee); and daughter Christie Earl (husband Morgan Haley); grandchildren Kaitlin, Kristion, Gloria Grace, Rebecca, Tyler, Savannah and Jayce; and great grandchildren Banner, Bentley, Sadie, Tommy, Adaline, Presley and Walker.
In lieu of flowers, we invite you to make a donation to Soroptimist International Rim of the World in her memory.
