Elizabeth “Liz” Rivas passed away on the 12th of July, 2017 at her home in Riverside, California after battling ALS…Lou Gehrig’s disease. Liz was born in Banning, California on the 5th of March 1952. Liz graduated from Redlands High School in 1970. For 40 years was able to work in the field that she loved with the Press Enterprise from January 1974 to February 2014. Prior to working for the Press Enterprise, Liz worked with the Redlands Daily Facts. Above all Liz lived for her boys. Liz is survived by her son, Christopher Flores, grandson Anthony Flores, her mother, Hope Rivas, sisters Loretta Rivas, Rebecca Oman and Cynthia Burke, brothers George Rivas and Arthur Rivas. She is preceded in death by her father, Manuel Rivas (December 2014).
