Emauri Kahjanaye Scott was born December 15, 1995 in Denver, Colorado to Ebon Kenyatta and Allynn Shateece Scott. Emauri was the youngest of three children also known as the baby. She attended Cajon and Sierra High School where she graduated early receiving her high school diploma from Cajon High School.
Emauri excepted Christ into her life at an early age. She attended and was a member of Greater Bethel AOH, J Joy Ministries, Life Changing Ministries, where she was apart of Try Praise Dance Ministry, New Seasons and finally taking residence at her home church Empowered by Living Faith where she joined the dance ministry, The Empowered Worshippers.
She was a very inspiring and influential young lady with many gifts. Her many talents went from playing the guitar, singing, dancing, hosting and modeling. She was a part of the Urban Dolls and created her own little pretty crew MAC girls. She had just began her career as a model and inspired to one day open her own one stop shop.
As an involved youth she participated in many community events. Such as feeding the homeless, Christmas giveaways, and even was an official member of Joussance of Expressions an outreach group who taught youth how to express themselves through the arts.
Although she was young she touched many lives and inspired many other young ladies to believe in themselves and to find their beauty from within. Her smile is contagious and she had a quote for every picture. She used to often say there is a story behind every photo and believe me you she had one for every picture and video. Emauri was very intelligent often getting straight A's so she was considered the total package.
Emauri called everyone's kids her child and would love every child as if it was her own. Emauri loved the kids. It was funny every time she would reach for a baby and say come to mommy!
She was preceded in death by her Great Grandmother, Aimee Adele Wilson, Great Grandfathers; Alan Jackson Sr and Charles Mathis Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory her father Ebon K. Scott I and Mother, Allynn S. Scott, her brother Ebon K. Scott II and Sister Ebanie A. Scott; Niece, Peyton Slaughter (4) and Nephew Jamall Slaughter Jr. (2); Aunts; Jonaye M. Gipson (Dale) and Lisa T. Scott, Uncles; Mechel J. Elam (Hannele) and Berjon L. Bausley-McClure (Charlene), Grandmothers; Jonine D. Elam and Beverly A. Scott, Grandfather; Alan Jackson Jr. and Great-Grandmother Lorraine Jackson, a host of cousins, relatives, extended family and friends.
Emauri "Tokyo" Scott was more than just a Daughter, Sister, Auntie, Niece, Granddaughter and Cousin, more than just a pretty face, model and host. She was an exceptional iconic and legendary young lady, a virtuous young lady, a young lady who left an impact wherever she went. When she stepped into a room the world stopped, because her beauty not only illuminated on the outside but from within as well. She had a style that was unique and although many tried it was unmatchable. Her smile was the most contagious, inspiring, illuminating gift from God. Whether she was in your life for a second or years, she always left a part of her with you. She touched and blessed everyone she came into contact with. Her love for life was unsurpassable. She has left and gone on to receive her wings on March 24, 2017.
She left a legacy for every young and mature woman to carry-on. Her quote will forever remain and ring in our hearts "Hey Beautiful!"
