Frida was a very loving and gentle soul. I was blessed to get to know her as her step in caregiver when needed. She had so many great stories from her youth to adult life. I enjoyed being her friend.

My Aunt Frida was a mom to me.  After my dad died in 1994, Frida moved into the Apple Valley house to live with my mom, Ingeborg.  Frida loved the outdoors, her dogs, and loved to travel.  As a child, she took me on many road trips, to Hawaii, to Scandinavia.  When she turned 90, she volunteered on her own to give up her drivers license, saying it was time.  When she turned 93, she said she needed to go to Amabel’s because she couldn’t live alone anymore.  No fuss, no sorrow, just a wise, beautiful lady.  Never an angry word did I hear from her.   She was very patriotic, proud of her service in the Navy, contributing to all sorts of military charities, and voted in every election.  I will truly miss her.  

I was her caregiver and  with her for 8 years, spent time with her after she went into assisted living. Loved hearing all of her memories from when she was in the Navy and growing up in the Virgin islands.
  She truly loved her dogs. 💖
