George Benton Hopper

George Benton Hopper (BUB) was born on October 7, 1948, in Loma Linda, CA to Georgia Uldean and Emmett Riley Hopper. George was a wonderful brother to five sisters: Sharon Hopper Schuman, Shirley Marie Hopper, Judy C. Kirby, Glenda Uldean Hopper-Hayes and Betty Jean Garcia. George was preceded in death by his first wife Dama Lee Hopper and his two oldest children, John Riley Hopper and Brenda Lee Hopper.

George is survived by his children: Elaine Marie Hopper, Emmett Kenneth Hopper, Allan Ray McManus and Michael Anthony Burke. George is survived by his grandchildren: Justin Ray Benton Hopper, Ethan James Spaniak, George Lincoln Spaniak, Dama Lee Laverne Spaniak, George Riley Hopper, Brandon Robert Clark, Brianna Rae Clark, David Allan McManus, Krystyna Marie McManus, Devin Giovanni Hopper, Aaliyah Amanda Hopper, Noelle Faith Hopper, Kalie Joy Hopper and 1st great grandson, Roman James Spaniak. George is also uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews.

George is also survived by his current loving wife: Sharon Elaine Pollard Hopper. George was a retail manager for Fedco for over 35 years and a school bus driver before retiring. George enjoyed collecting coins (always looking for the million-dollar penny), watching westerns, traveling, seeing new places and people and grew a love for animals.

George was a dreamer and happily would say “If not for dreamers like me…what would the doers have to do?” Most importantly, George was a gentle, kind and loving man. We are thankful the lord put George in our lives. He will be greatly missed.
