Georgina Gila Diaz Arechavaleta
Born in the town of Cenotillo, Yucatan on July 5, 1930. Passed on May 26, 2025. She lived in Veracruz, Mexico City and San Bernardino, California for the past 52 years.
Her parents were Miguel Diaz Alcocer and Concepcion Carenzo Diaz. Her siblings were Ramon, Ofelia, Augusto Diaz, and Half brother and sister, Julian and Irma Diaz.
Georgina married Roberto Arechavaleta Navarrete and together they raised five wonderful children: Elizabeth, Ninon, Miguel, Pablo, and Gila Arechavaleta Diaz, who then gave her 15 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren.
Georgina was a great mother, wife, and daughter. She was very crafty, a great cook, loved to read and her passion was writing beautiful poems. She also studied (Alta Costura) High End Design in Sewing, at a Technical School in Merida, Yucatan. Most of all, she loved to be surrounded by all of her family and loved ones. Georgina had a very caring and humble heart and always spoke with words of wisdom.
Our mother made an impact in many people, especially in her children, grandkids, and great grandkids. Especially with those in need of help.
Even though her departure has been very painful for her children and family, we celebrate her life as she joins God's Kingdom, united with her loved ones.
We will remember Georgina Gila Diaz Arechavaleta with her favorite words: "Always look for the goodness in people, always trust in God's plan."
Love,
Georgina Gila Diaz Arechavaleta
