James was born in, 1958 in Guam to Rita Pangelinan Mathias. He was the youngest of 4 children. The family later moved to San Pedro, Ca where he met his future bride, Judy Mathias. James and Judy had 4 children, James Jr., Robert, Amanda, and Julieanne. He enjoyed coaching his sons in baseball, enjoyed fishing with his family, bowling, horseshoe, playing baseball and softball, and was an avid follower of the Angels.
James and Judy both spent most of time with their 4 children and 17 grandchildren. They enjoyed going on family vacations, spending time with family.
Services for James will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, Valley View Chapel, 3520 E. Washington Street, Colton, California 92324
