STEARNS, James Lee, age 92, currently of Lakeland, FL passed away in Plant City, FL on June 20, 2017. James was born on September 27, 1924 in Lomita, CA to Merle and Blanche (Fewell) Stearns. He was an Army veteran and an active member of Oasis Community Church in Lakeland, FL.
James is survived by his daughters, Carolyn Smith (Ted), Starla Scarbro (Steve); his son, Merle Stearns (Barbara); and his 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
After his tour, as a paratrooper, in WWII he devoted himself to the Lord Jesus Christ and established multiple churches in Redlands, California, one still outstanding.
Services will be held this Wednesday, June 28th, at 10am at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary in Colton.
