Jean Marie Clemans was a cherished Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend. Jean passed away October 2nd, 2022, at the age of 74 while surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living life to the fullest and celebrating life’s greatest gift…family.
She was born July 13th, 1948, in Jacksonville, Illinois and moved to California with her family when she was 15. After graduating St. Bernadine High School in San Bernardino, Jean worked for the Sun Telegram and eventually with Alpha Beta running the Deli and Bakery Departments. Jean then worked with Food4Less as a price change coordinator until her retirement.
Jean enjoyed spending time in the kitchen cooking meals for every holiday, attending all her kids and grandkids activities, and baking cakes for family birthdays. She also enjoyed walking her beloved dog Shelby at the dog park and talking with good friends. Jean will be missed by many and will always be remembered as a selfless altruistic human being that always had a smile on her face, even when times were tough.
Jean is survived by her children John and spouse Tammy, Penni and spouse Mike, Travis and spouse Carrie, and Trever and spouse Amy. Jean has three sisters, Susie (Sr. Joan), Debbie, Brenda, as well as four brothers Tom, Brad, James, Shane and brother-in-law, Larry. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, one on the way, and 10 great grandchildren.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Wednesday October 12th at Montecito Memorial Park, 3520 E. Washington St. Colton, Ca. 92324, inside the Valley View Chapel. Interment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, and then a reception will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Mountain Shadows Mobile Home Park in the Club House, 4033 Piedmont Dr, Highland, CA 92346. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s’ or Shriners Children Hospital, two of Jean’s favorite charitable organizations.
