John Edward Person Sr., longtime resident of Grand Terrace, passed away September 21, 2013 at the age of 63. John was born in San Bernardino to Fred and Vermont Person. He was an aircraft mechanic in the United States Air Force. In 1990 he retired after 21 years of proud service. John is survived by his parents, Fred Sr. and Vermont Person; sister, Darlene Person; his brother, Fred Person Jr.; sons, John Edward Person Jr. and Michael Burleson; daughter, Kimberly Person and his granddaughters, Madison and Daisy.
Visitation will be Monday, October 1, 2013 4-8pm at Montecito Mortuary Valley View Chapel. Service will be Tuesday, October 2, 2013 at 10:00am at Hew Hope Baptist Church at 1575 W. 17th St., San Bernardino, CA 92411. Interment will follow at 1:45pm at Staging Area #4 at Riverside National Cemetery at 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518.
