Our beloved John Henry Sanders Jr. (husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather) left this earth
after an extensive battle with illness. A fighter until the end, he passed away on July 4, 2021 at the age
of 86.
John joins his parents John Henry, Louise and Mabel Sanders in Heaven.
He is survived by his loving wife Fannie Mae and their children, son Daniel Sanders (Carola), son
Patrick Sanders (Margarita), James, Floyd, fletcher, Joseph, Joshua daughter Debbie Sanders, Ruthie
(Javon), Florence (Kenneth), Patricia, Lee (Nafis) and Sue. 3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren,
several extended grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
John was born on November 23, 1934 to John Henry Sanders Sr. and Louise Sanders in Valdosta,
Georgia. After High school graduation he joined the United States Air Force where he (Sandy) served 21
years. He proudly served in the Korean and Vietnam War, also served in France and Libya. He then
owned his own Painting business before retirement, lived a full vibrant life with family and friends.
John met Fannie Mae and they married in 1991. They traveled and enjoyed life to the fullness, they
were stuck together like two peas in a pod.
John was a hard worker with the biggest heart and smile. He was a very passionate about helping others
in need. He could often be found at the Community Center handing out food when he wasn’t at home.
He opened his home to so many people and helped them in any way he could, giving them food and
even clothes if needed.
John had the most loving and caring heart that anyone could ask for. He was loved by everyone that he
came in contact with. Anyone who knew John knew that he was the most loving father and husband a
family could ask for. He became “Daddy” to everyone.
Viewing will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, August 16, 2021 and a Chapel Service at 10:00am on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 both at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, Valley View Chapel. John will be laid to rest thereafter at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518
