Our deepest condolences to the Calvo family.
God has given us the privilege to be part of Jo’s life. He was a God fearing man that loved the Lord with all his heart. We served together at Calvary the Brook church. We can say that he greeted everyone with the biggest smile  and love on his face when he welcomed everyone that walked through the church doors.
We will surely miss our dear friend and  brother in  Christ.

My heartfelt condolences to you Tia Stella, Tina, JoJo, Adam, Louie their families, My heart breaks with yours. I was honored to have met Joe, years long ago. He first was my husband Michael’s Good friend and we became friends and he then became our uncle when he married Stella. I loved when Joe accepted My Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He continued to be fired up for Our Lord and told everyone that he knew or didn’t know how much Jesus love them. One funny thing that I will never forget is when I went to the market knowing that Joe was coming to buy root beer soda, and I would tell him hey Joe I have something for you and he would say,  you do and he would get excited and say you remembered me, and I would respond of course I did, or when he was with us and my extended family he would always ask me do they know me, and I would respond to him and either introduce him or just tell him, yes Joe or say hey everyone this is Joe. I will always remember him and I know that My God has received him with open arms and say well done my good and faithful servant. Thank you Good Friend/Uncle Joe Calvo, you will always have a place in my heart.

I met Joe at 14 as a freshman in high school. I was part of the “little sister club,” teen girls with brothers, along with Joe, Vic, Juan and the rest of the guys who were all “carnals” of my older brother Migs. We were a tight-knit group, more like a family. We grew up together, laughed and cried together and later in life, raised families together. Joe was always the most caring and loving of all my “big brothers.” He gave me rides anytime he saw me walking home from school, fixed my flat tires in my old Ford when I started driving, bought me lunch when I had no money, and even rescued me and put gas in my car when I ran out along side the road. We also had amazingly fun times together as he was a great dance partner, just put on some EWF and watch him go! Later in life I was blessed with even more of his kind and good-hearted nature when he married my Aunt Stella and become my Uncle.  Joe, I always admired and loved you so much for all you did for me, my family, my grandparents and especially for being a good and loving husband to my Auntie Stella.  You are a true man of God and I know you are resting peacefully in His kingdom.  You have lit the Way for us all to follow,  I only pray that we can all receive Gods grace and glory by committing our lives so selflessly to Him, just as you did. God bless you my dear friend and Uncle.  May you rest peacefully and completely in the arms of love forever.

Joe and I shared a lot of fun times in our younger years. Thank you Joe for showing me how to appreciate music on a good sound system, how to appreciate a good cigar, and always sharing your good nature with me. I’ll miss you a lot but I have a lot of good memories. May God bless your family and friends. I’m confident and happy knowing you are with our Lord. RIP brother

My condolence go out to The Calvo family. I was around 10 years old or so when I met Joe Calvo. He was best friends with my big bother Mario Solorio in high school. I remembered on the weekends when Joe Calvo would come over to my parents house and both him and Mario would be in Mario's room getting ready for the night always jamming music like The Ohio Players, Con Funk Shun and others, and I do mean "jamming " the music cause you can hear it through out the house. I'll always remember that. Now Joe Calvo can rest in peace 🙏

My Godfather Joe was an amazing person. Stella and  family my thoughts and prayers go out to you.  Big hugs. I thank him for all the great memories I had as I was growing up as a kid with Tina and JoJo. The beach, castle park, camping. even just hanging out and BBQ.  He will be missed. Until we meet again Nino in paradise. Love you

Compa you will definitely be missed. Thank you for always being there for me through some rough patches in my life. You truly have a big heart ❤️ I will always remember our high school times that we had with Johnny & Eddie, Michael, Dennis,Henry, Richard & Manuel Cruising down E street  & Downtown Market st in Riverside.
