Juanita “Janie” Aguilar was granted her angel wings on December 9, 2020 at the age of 76 surrounded by her loving children in Redlands, CA. She was born in El Paso, TX to Inocente and Adela Fuentes on June 25, 1944.
First and foremost, she loved the Lord. Prayer to her was like taking a breath, often and daily. She shared the importance of God’s gift to all who knew and met her. Her life was a living example of living God’s Word. She loved beading…creating special gifts for those who shared her passion. She loved reading, dancing, spending family time together and shopping. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them.
She left Texas and moved to California on her own in 1976. She was a role model for her children and accomplished obtaining her BA while working two jobs and maintaining a household. She retired from San Bernardino School District after 35 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rudy F. Aguilar and son Ruben Arias. She is survived by her children, grandchildren and sisters. She was the loving and devoted mother to Lorenzo Arias, Jr., Herlinda Arias, Elizabeth Rivas and Cynthia Arias. She was a loving grandmother to David Arias, Yvonne Acosta, Jesse Arias, Alex Rivas and Valerie Aguirre. She is also survived by her three sisters that she loved dearly Lucy Frausto, Ida Padilla and Irma Huerta. She was a mother, sister, grandmother, but everyone’s best friend.
Please join us in celebrating her life on January 19, 2021 at Montecito Memorial from 1:00 – 2:30.
She was always full of life. She just LOVED life. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
