 You touched so many lives with your smiles that lit up a room, your enduring love and devotion to your family, your simplicity, your love for God, your quick wit (and boy did you ever come up with the funniest quips of anyone I know which made us all laugh so heartily) and like Dave stated, no one even came close to making delicious sorpotel like yours.
 You always put others before yourself. Always. I will forever cherish the wonderful memories of the many conversations you and I had over the years as I was greeted first by your infectious smile. You seemed to have a knack of making my problems go away. You treated me like a son.
 The past year was a challenging one for you, but you still managed to hold your head up high with such courage and determination. A true fighter, a trooper. An inspiration to us all.
 Your passing has left a void and sadness that will be felt by your loving family and all those whose lives you touched including mine. Your suffering is no more. I imagine you in heaven waltzing with Grandpa Mascarenhas as he takes your hand.
