Lida Babienco Mann, 92 years old, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014 at her home in Redlands, California. She was born on August 4, 1921 to Theophil and Anna Babienco in Harbin, China. Her husband of fifty years, Leslie Bernard Mann, Jr., M.D., passed away in 1995. Her son, Leslie B. Mann, III, passed away in 1999. She is survived by her sister, Helen Haynal, her children, Julie Mattison and Nancy Debretsion, her sons-in-law Ernest Mattison and Tariku Debretsion, and her grandchildren Samuel Debretsion, Molly Mattison, Luke Mattison and Nathan Debretsion. She was a homemaker, a church, school and hospital volunteer, and a writer of poetry and personal essays. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who is truly missed by her family and friends.
Lida will have a Funeral Service on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. in the Valley View Chapel at Montecito Mortuary and interment will follow at Montecito Memorial Park, Colton, California. Lida's wishes were that her family and friends not wear black at her funeral.
