Marie was my mom's (Patricia Rose) very good nursing friend from Riverside.  She came to the home many times thru the years.

We first met Marie when we moved to her neighborhood and she came to our door with a homemade apple pie.  That was the first of many wonderful memories.  Great friend to us and grandmother to our daughters.  We love you and will always remember you.

I worked with Marie at the VA Hospital as a nurse assistant, then when on to get my RN. She was very encouraging. She was her own class act. I was also there and remember her wonderful husband she met there. She lit up like a light talking about those dogs. Nothing but pure love. Marie bought me a beautiful plant when my brother passed. These kind of people, you never forget. May you rest in peace Marie.                    Janet Ragoschke

I will miss hearing Marie tell her stories so eloquently.  She was such a delightful raconteur. I am thankful to have met her through Sammy Rescue, and I still think of her and Ken every time I approach my car from the rear, as when I went to meet them in Santa Barbara one year for a dog show when Smoochie was being shown, they surprised me with a personalized "Samoyeds are Super" license plate frame which I have moved from car to car as I have changed vehicles over the years. I will always remember fondly the weekend that Ken and Marie stayed with me, and going to the Lobster Trap with them, where they had dined during their honeymoon years before. Though I lived too far away to visit Marie, I thought of her often and am saddened that she is no longer with us.  Hopefully she now is surrounded by all her beloved Sammies who have also crossed the rainbow bridge.  That's my idea of heaven.  Love to you, Marie!

She was a great Aunt to us. She will be missed but we know she is no longer suffering.
