

Mary Cherpin was a woman of humility, generosity, and quiet resilience. Born in 1967 in San Bernardino, California, Mary was the youngest of three children. From an early age, she carried a deep sense of compassion and responsibility, often putting others before herself—a quality that would define her throughout her life. Her role as the youngest shaped her nurturing spirit and strong bonds with those she loved.
This love and devotion would later define what mattered most to her. Mary's greatest joy came from her family. A loving wife, mom, and baba, she was known for her big heart, thoughtful advice, and nurturing spirit. She celebrated every milestone, both big and small, with enthusiasm and pride.
As an elementary school teacher for over 25 years, Mary shaped the minds and hearts of countless students. She believed in the power of education and took pride in mentoring her students. Her impact helped numerous students achieve their dreams and will continue to inspire upcoming generations.
Mary is lovingly remembered by her four children and three grandchildren, all of whom adored her.
Those who knew Mary will remember her unwavering kindness and selflessness. She taught us that true wealth lies in the love we give, the lives we touch, and the family and friends we hold close to our hearts.
A visitation will be held at the Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, Valley View Chapel, located at 3520 E Washington St, Colton, CA 92324, on February 7, 2026, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am.
The funeral service will follow at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A committal service will take place at Montecito Memorial Park at 12:30 pm and conclude at 1:00 pm.
