Mary Garcia

A much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, Mary L. Garcia, 87, of Colton, CA, passed away peacefully at her home December 23, 2024 with her family present.

She is survived by three sons, 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous additional family members. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Gil, her son, Bern, and grandson, Danny Garcia II.

Mary was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and wife always cooking and supporting her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved to be surrounded by family and friends, often sharing cooking and baking cookies. She loved to do crafts and made many gifts for loved ones. Later she began growing Plumerias and shared the love for her plumerias with all. She was involved in many charity organizations throughout her life, including PTA, den mother for her son’s scouts, and many women’s organizations.

Services will be as follows: viewing is 5-9 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Montecito Memorial Chapel, Colton, CA.

Mass is at 11 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2025 at Immaculate Conception in Colton with interment following at Riverside National Cemetery at 1:15 p.m. Celebration of Life will follow.

At her services, mass, and interment, Mary requested everyone wear her favorite color - red.
