

Michael was born in Lynwood, CA. After graduating from Colton High School in 1975, he went on to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at California State University, Sacramento,
Before graduation just straight out of high school, he landed his first job as Store Manager for 5 years at ARCO Gas Corporation. After graduation, he landed his first job as a Sales Manager Representative for Furniture USA for 3 years. He then joined Shell Gas Plus, where he remained a devoted employee for more than 18 years. Afterwards he then joined Petromart Gas Retail Group for more than 4 years.Throughout his career, he formed many successful relationships and left a lasting impact on everyone he worked with as an excellent leader and compassionate personality.
In 1990, he met his beloved wife Ratana, and they wed in 1997. In 2001, Michael and Ratana were blessed with the birth of their lovely daughter, Elizabeth. In 2002, they were blessed with the birth of a second darling daughter, Katelynn. In 2004, they were blessed with the birth of a third precious daughter, Alyssa. In 2007, they were blessed with the birth of their revered son Sebastian.
Michael was a strong headed force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he proudly bragged and often mentioned to families and friends who “heard it a million times”. He was endlessly proud of his children, always supporting each child as they developed their tremendous talent in golf and academics with goals of being successful as a teacher, anesthesiologist, psychiatrist, and business CEO.
Michael was also a passionate golfer, skier, football athlete, entrepreneurial mindset, news viewer of political or current events or weather and all the sports fan. He could often be found watching sports at home while eating chips and popcorn.
Anyone who knew Michael, knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family was blessed to have in our lives because he always would stand behind his family and support every life decision or difficult choices or hurdles encountered at work or school or interpersonal friendships. Michael was predeceased by father-in-law Boy, sister-in-law Kristine and Becky, by cousin Julie, by aunts Ann and Ruth, by parents William and Shirley. He is survived by his loving wife Ratana, by his loving daughters Elizabeth and Katelynn and Alyssa, by his loving son Sebastian, by sisters Lisa and Kathy, by brother Ken, by cousin Leslie, by brother-in-law Jim, James, John, Adrian, Steve, Kenneth, by sister-in-law Sotheary, by nieces Sheila, Sarah, Tashie, Bridgette, Sydney, Sothea, Niia, Marquessa, Hannah, Ester, Allison, Kilee, by great nieces Elora, Lyanna, Ember Emileigh, by nephews Billy, Nicholas, Jacob, Joshua, Peter, Randy, Brian, Justin, Nathan, Andrew, Matthew, Luke, Joshua, Erik, Tyler B.,Tyler C, great nephew William, Johann, Augustine, by uncle Ted, by mother-in-law Chhiv and uncles, aunts, cousins, and numerous friends who were his extended family.
