Octavia was a Beautiful person and Friend. She was my father's student at Redlands High School  I met her while we were both in the masters program at National University. To the Howard Family, My condolences to your family. I was sadden to hear about Octavia passing.  She was a character, with her contagious laugh.  I can remember when her daughter wanted to know who Octavia friends were, she called me and arranged for her and her daughter to come by. We reminisced, and talked about school. I showed her pictures, and our year book. She will be missed, but not forgotten.💕

To Octavia's family:

My deepest sympathy over Octavia's unexpected loss. May the universe welcome her to its center. Her last text to me was "we are all in God's hands".

I met your lovely mom in Chicago at a school retreat.  We ran into each other at the escalator to our hotel.  She was looking annoyed and holding onto her pretty long skirt.  Unfortunately, the escalor had  the tip  of her stylish skirt and she couldn't really move. We tried various things but she eventually just had to yank and tear it.  She wasn't even upset.  Just smiling her sweet smile and shaking her head.  May she smile again and watch down on all of you.

My deepest condolences to you and your family Mia, your mom was the best... I will miss my friend so much, her smile, her laugh, but most of all her loving and caring spirit! Fly high Octavia... You are free now!

Dear Mia, Sherwood and Isa and family.  My prayers are with all of you.  I know Heaven has another angel.  I will miss Octavia.  Although we lived miles away.   We kept in touch over the years.  Each time we came to California. We'd see each other.   I hope her smile, her love, her big heart and her deep laughter will bring you comfort and joy.  That's what I will remember most.
