Pete:  Speaking on behalf of me and my two sisters, Ramona and Luisa, who because of their delicate health, are presently unable to speak on their behalf, plus all the many members of our large, extended families stemming from the Alvarez clan, we are all so deeply saddened to have lost you.  As one of my four brothers-in-law, you have been in our family for 66 years.  Since your marriage into our family, you have always been so close and united with all of us.  You could not have been any closer if you had been born into our family, instead of marrying into it.  I was in your wedding when you and my sister, Luisa married in October, 1948.  God granted you 66 years together.  As youngsters, your sons, Peter Boy and Kenny, grew up with the other 24 grandchildren in our family.  We have been a very close-knit family, and for many years we frequently had noisy get-togethers at my parents' home.  Mom and dad dearly loved all 26 of their grandchildren, although Peter Boy was my mom's pride and joy, since he was the very first grandson to be born in the family.  Richie Boy, born four months later, ultimately, also, came to occupy a large place in my parents' heart. Eventually, the number of grandchildren grew to a total of 26, but my parents equally loved all of them dearly.  Presently, our family is now comprised of a large number of great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Sadly, many of those children, born in recent years, will never know their great-great-grandparents.  Young and old alike, everyone in the family loved you Uncle Peter, and we will all dearly miss you.  You were the last brother-in-law remaining in our family,since the other four have all passed away.  Happily, you will now meet up again with your beloved parents, as well as all the other members of the Alvarez family, who have gone before you.  Over the years, we have lost 16 members of our large family, including mom and dad, but we miss each and every one of them tremendously every single day.  My sister, Mary Louise, and Peter Boy, plus all your grandchildren and great-grandchildren will also, all greatly miss your physical presence.  However, our many memories of all the good times we had, as a family, will forever be in our hearts until we too are called home.
