Robert J. Atkins passed away comfortably at home on January 11, 2013 9:30pm after a long battle with Bladder Cancer and Emphysema . He is survived by his wife, Dang Atkins of 42 years, daughters Kit and Nuek; son-in-laws, Art and Tim , grandchildren, Krystal, Shane and Cody. Robert J. Atkins was born in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. He is a retired veteran as a Master Sergeant. He served in the Air Force Armed Forces in the Vietnam War, was on Active Duty for 42 Years with 4 Honorable Discharges. He also worked as a Mechanic Engineer at Webber Engineering for 20+ more years. Robert J. Atkins preferred to work and organize, loved to be kept busy, watched all kind of sports on television, solve puzzles and play solitaire. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many and will be missed dearly. The the ceremony will take place on January 22nd 2013 10am at the Montecito Chapel.
