I am so sadden by the news I gather today when I called into the office today.  Doctor Smith has been my son Jeramiah's(4) doctor since the first day he was born on 2/26/2010.  Even though we don't live in the area I wouldn't have it any other way for my child to see anyone but Dr. Smith.  He was a great doctor and a great listener.  I have three older children who are grown and having Jeramiah, I sometimes second guest myself in my decisions and Dr. Smith always assure me not to worry.  He would be truly missed and I want to say to his family you were very blessed and my family feels blessed to have had Dr. Smith  crossed a path in our lives.  I will continue with his office.  Prayers to you all and thank you again.

My kids and I found out today about this tremendous man's passing.  He was our family's "baby doctor".  Our babies are now 15 and 12 and knew him as the kind man with the Koala or other animal on his stethoscope. He smiled frequently and was so patient.  I know over the years there was a waiting list to see him!  Dr. Smith, you are sorely missed and I am thankful to have had you as a respected and trusted asset to our family's health.

Dr. Smith was more that just my three children's pediatrician, he was a kind and gentle man.  If he was supposed to call you back, he ALWAYS did!  Even after 5:00pm.  He would take the time to help my children understand whatever their sickness/ailment was.  Two years ago, when my son was too scared to get his shots, Dr. Smith came in and gently held 
him while the nurse gave the shots.  Never has any doctor been more patient with my children.  Dr. Smith was their doctor for 10 years, we are all stunned and sadden.

I don't even know where to begin...I am still in such shock, disbelief, heart broken and it's extremely hard to imagine not being able to see the Dr I had the utmost respect and privlidge to work for nearly 10 years again in person...nor to be able to laugh at his corky jokes, hear is outrageous laughter that filled our office... or hug him. Dr Smith was THE sweetest Dr/man/angel I've had the pleasure to know. I learned from him, broke bread with him, celebrated with him... he was family and I will miss him tremendously. He loved and helped so many people, that I don't think HE knew quite the impact he had on our community. His thoughtfulness, caring nature, his ability to comfort in the worst cases professionally and personally with us as his nurses, his genuine pure heart can never be replaced! The best cant NEVER be duplicated. I will forever keep you Dr Smith (my work dad), in my thoughts as well as my heart. I love you dearly...Until we meet again on the other side, watch over all of us. I know you're wearing those wings proudly and walking the golden sidewalks of heaven in awe ... I hope to continue to make you proud. Myrna, I am and will always be here for you!
