Ruth Gutierrez

Ruth M. Gutierrez passed away September 2, 2017 peacefully at the age of 90 years, sixteen days after her beloved husband Manuel of 73 years passed. We can rest knowing that before she passed, on the morning after the burial of our father, she had the opportunity to say her goodbyes to her family, friends and other loved ones. Ruth was a remarkable woman who loved life, flowers and meeting others. Her yard reflects her life with a variety of plants and trees. She was devoted to her family and her church, Our Lady of Guadalupe, where she was a Eucharistic Minister for many years. She was a very caring woman who was a second mother to many, a best friend to most and was loved by everyone she met and was always ready to help those in need.

We will miss our mother very much.

Preceded in death by parents: Vidal and Esparanza. Husband: Manuel, sons: John Michael and John Joseph.

Survived by sons, Tony (Gloria), Mario, Richard (Lisa) and Ruben. Daughters: Terry (Joseph), Susie (Dave) and Bertha (Andrew). Ruth was blessed with 29 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Viewing at Montecito Memorial Mortuary 4pm to 8pm. Wednesday, Sept. 20th. Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church 11:00 am, Sept. 21st, 2017 followed by burial service at Montecito Memorial Cemetery, Loma Linda, CA.
