With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Sergio Oseguera Chavez on April 16, 2026, at the age of 62. He was born on November 22, 1963, in Los Reyes, Michoacán and made his home in San Bernardino, California, where he lived for over 30 years and built a life filled with love, hard work, and dedication.
Sergio was a man of quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, and deep kindness. For over 30 years, he worked in autobody, eventually managing his own business—something he took great pride in. Through his work, he not only built a livelihood, but also earned the respect of everyone who knew him.
More than anything, Sergio was a devoted father to his daughters, Monica, Angelica, and Cristina, and a proud grandfather to his beloved grandson, Adam. His family was his greatest joy and his reason for everything. He was also a loving son, brother and uncle, always present, always caring, and always putting others before himself.
Sergio found happiness in the simple things—time with his family, caring for his pets, and playing soccer, a sport he truly loved. He believed deeply in being a good person, and he lived his life with honesty, humility, and a genuine heart. To know him was to know someone you could trust, someone who would always be there.
One of the things his family will hold onto forever is the way he would say goodbye—never as “goodbye,” but as “not bye, see you later.” Those words now carry even more meaning, reminding us that his love and presence will always remain with us.
A visitation will be held at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on May 8, 2026.
Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the life he lived, the love he gave, and the memories he leaves behind. Sergio will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
“Te quiero mucho, Papi Sergio Chávez.”
