Andrew L. Magyar passed away at the age of 34. Andrew was born in Cambridge, OH and was the son of George E. Magyar and Mary Jo Magyar. He is survived by a younger sister, E. Grace Magyar and his partner Alex Rygg.
Andrew graduated from St. Clairsville High School and Ohio Northern University. He received his PhD in physics from Penn State University. Andrew was employed by the John Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, MD where he resided.
Andrew had a love of travel, the outdoors, dogs, and music. He played trombone and cello throughout his university years.
A memorial service will be held at the First Christian Church, 1343 National Rd., Wheeling, WV 26003 on Saturday, March 27, at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Kenny Hardway officiating.
