Survived by her brothers, Mario Restović & Yerko Restović in Chile, Ellen Reifsnyder & Shawn Reifsnyder in PA, and many extended families in Chile and Croatia.
For over 60 years, Emmy shared her bountiful & wonderful life with her best friend and husband, Sam. After growing up in Antofagasta, Chile, she attended university in Santiago. During a trip home during college break, she met the love of her life, Sam. Sam was stationed in her hometown for his work with the NASA space program. Before she knew it, she was whisked off her feet, beginning an extraordinary life in a genuine union with Sam. They moved from Chile to Mexico, where their first two children were conceived, then to California, where their youngest was born, and moved to Maryland in 1967 and were pioneer residents of Columbia Maryland. Emmy was an avid gardener, world traveler, considerate boss, and a kind, dependable friend. The most extraordinary characteristics she possessed were her emotional fortitude and resilience. She brought strength, joy, humor and light to our family during the hardest times. She held us together and lifted us up. She was greatly loved and had a rich, happy and fulfilling life.
