Joyce A. Mays

Joyce Ann Miller Mays, 69, of Dayton, MD, passed away March 16, 2012. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years Douglas R. Mays; her children Valerie Mays Kline and husband Richard and grandchildren Cara, Cole, and Georgia of Columbia; Mark D. Mays and wife Rebecca and grandchildren Claire and Noah of Ellicott City; and was predeceased by daughter Jennifer Lynn. Joyce is also survived by sister Irene Keyseear and brothers Irvin Miller and wife Helen; John Miller and wife Frances; and was predeceased by brother Douglas Miller. She is also blessed to have numerous brother and sister-in-laws and nieces and nephews.

Joyce was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was very active with her church family and was a member of the UMW, Shepard circles, Bible study, and the Choir which was her true passion.

Services will be held on Wednesday, March 21 at Mount Zion UMC with the burial at Columbia Memorial Park, Clarksville, MD. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations to the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Building Fund.
