Richard was a great help to me in Washington, D,C ,when he was 
the representative for British Airways.

I often thought about Richard over the last fifty years.

Hello, this is Chris Burk.  I would like to express my sympathy to the Lucente Family on the loss of your father and husband.  

Richard was a wonderful man with a great sense of personality, humor, talent and love.  Much of this comes from my childhood.  I was always interested about his successful employment with the airline and how happy it made his family.  

One memory that I can share is when the family lived on Blauvelt Avenue, there was a big bees nest in the back yard that was quite exciting in regards to it being taken care of.  

When I was younger our family grew up with the Lucente family (and the Junkinds (SP?) and I have a lot of nice memories of Richard, Neil, Brian and Cheryl from that time.  They say that memories of your youth will last forever.  

And, I always loved seeing all or any of the Lucente family whether visiting at my parents house, or a random sighting at Stone Barns.  Neil and Brian - and Cheryl of course - hopefully we can get together soon, whether for dinner, or drinks.  After all there aren't many people in our lives that we've known as long as each other and life is too short.

Richard (Mr. Lucente of course) - I love you and be well.

Such an amazing soul❤  Made the world joyful and every life he touched a better one!  May he watch over all of us as we smile with all the amazing memories of his wonderful life!  We will miss you and not a day will pass that we don't think of you!

Always smiling and eager for good conversation despite any health condition weighing him down. Richard was always a great pleasure to be around.  He will be dearly missed but beautifully remembered for his charm, personality and of course his amazing skills on the drums.  Cheryl-our thoughts and prayers are with you, your sons and the rest of your lovely family.  Sending you our love.

How fortunate that the Parkchester crowd was able to re-connect. Richie bought much love and laughter to us all. Our prayers and thoughts are with you Cheryl and your sons. Thank you Richie for keeping us "Forever Young"

When I moved to Chicago in 1975 Richard was my savior.  He made my transition to a new city so easy and was so kind to this kid from NYC. A mentor and wonderful friend.

Mike and I are deeply saddened  to learn of Richie's passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Cheryl and the entire Lucente family.  Richie will be dearly missed. He was a very special person.

Sad news indeed. I worked alongside Richard at BA in NYC and he used to keep us all laughing all the time. A born "marketing man," he was always up for anything. My sincere condolences to his family. RIP, Richard.

I am heartsick to hear this sad news and my deepest heartfelt condolences go to his family and friends. Richard (whom I knew as Dick) and I worked together for many years at British Airways in New York. He was funny, happy, charming and great at his job. He brought so much to everyone that knew him and I can't imagine the pain this terrible loss will be to his loved ones. I haven't spoken to Richard for many, many years but he will always be in my heart.

The Chicago British Airways office was filled with happy days, smiles and stories from Richard. Rest in peace...

Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever.

We have had the honor of calling Richard our friend for many, many years.  Our memories are ones of joy and laughter.  It is hard to express how much we will miss his smile and his wonderful hugs.  I remember his fabulous drum solo at our son Chris's wedding...what a performance...the crowd really did "go wild!"  You will continue to live in the hearts of everyone you knew, Richard...you were, AND ARE, one of a kind.  Blessings and peace to the Lucente family.
