

Roger Winter, beloved husband, father, humanitarian, and devout Christian went Home to be with the Lord on January 25, 2023. He was born on July 13, 1942, in Connecticut and spent most of his life in Maryland.
Roger leaves behind a large loving family, including his devoted and loving wife and their children 3 sons, a daughter, and their families. He was also survived by his older brother.
Throughout his life, Roger was dedicated to helping others. He traveled extensively, reporting on refugees and oppressed minorities in many parts of the world, especially in Sub-Saharan Africa. He was an active participant in government forums and was frequently seen on television, bringing attention to the needs of those he served.
In addition to his humanitarian work, Roger was a devoted Christian who carried on his faith through his selfless service to others. He touched the lives of countless people and his legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him. Roger was 80 years old at the time of his passing. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will hold a Memorial Service at Fourth Presbyterian Church, 5500 River Road, Bethesda, MD 20816; on February 18, 2023 at 10:00 am.
